Looking Back: The Markets That Built the Hollow 🌿

 Every business has a beginning.

For Herndon's Hollow, that beginning was often found under a canopy on Saturday mornings, with tables full of jars, baked goods, and plenty of conversations.

The markets weren't just a place to sell.

They were a place to learn.

Every Conversation Taught Something

Some visitors stopped because they loved to cook.

Others had never used a seasoning blend before.

Questions came one after another.

"What do you put this on?"

"Which one is your favorite?"

"Can I use this on vegetables?"

Those conversations shaped the products just as much as the recipes themselves.

The Little Moments

Some memories aren't about sales at all.

They're about someone coming back weeks later to say they finally tried a blend and loved it.

A child excited to sample popcorn seasoning.

Meeting other local makers who understood the ups and downs of building something by hand.

Those are the moments that stay with you.

Growing in New Directions

Businesses change.

Today, Herndon's Hollow looks a little different than it did at those early markets.

The product lineup has been refined.

Some blends have been retired.

Others have grown into favorites.

The goal has always remained the same: create products that people enjoy using in their own kitchens.

Sometimes the path changes.

The purpose doesn't.

Grateful for Every Chapter

The markets were never the final destination.

They were one chapter in a much larger story.

Without those early mornings, conversations, and familiar faces, Herndon's Hollow wouldn't be what it is today.

And for that, I'll always be grateful.
