Cragshold Baking Mix (Savory)

Follow the Cragshold Scone Mix directions on the bag.

After cutting the butter into the dry mix, gently stir in the add-ins listed below before adding the liquid ingredients.


Cheddar & Black Pepper - 1 to 1¼ cups shredded sharp or extra-sharp cheddar and ½–1 tsp freshly ground black pepper.

Cheddar & Chive - 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar and 2 tbsp finely chopped chives.

Parmesan & Herb - ¾ cup finely grated Parmesan and 1–1½ tsp dried herbs (thyme, rosemary, or Italian blend).

Bacon & Cheddar - 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar and ½ cup cooked bacon, finely chopped.

Notes
  • For richer flavor, use buttermilk instead of milk.
  • Avoid overmixing once liquids are added; a shaggy dough is correct.
  • Savory scones are best enjoyed warm but reheat well.
